Secunda, Mpumalanga – 28 March 2025 – In a decisive move to enforce labour compliance and workplace safety regulations, the Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour, Mr. Jomo Sibiya, arrived in Secunda today to lead a High-Impact Blitz. This operation seeks to ensure that businesses adhere to South Africa’s labour laws, workplace safety standards, and immigration regulations.

The initiative kicked off with a strategic briefing at the municipal chambers of the Govan Mbeki Municipality. Deputy Minister Sibiya was joined by key stakeholders, including the MMC of Planning & Economic Development, Ms. Thandi Ngxonono, Chief Inspector-General, Ms. Aggy Moiloa, Chief Director of Provincial Operations, Rev. Mandla Sibanyoni, and Provincial Chief Inspector, Mr. Boikie Mampuru.
