GERT SIBANDE DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY COMMUNICATION TEAM DOES WONDERS.

GAUTENG: During the national communicators forum held by the South African Local Government Association (SALGA), Gert Sibande District Municipality was recognized for its exceptional communication team, being voted as the most proactive within the municipality. The awards ceremony took place today.

Mrs. B Dube, along with her team of knowledgeable individuals, has led the municipality in enhancing communication within the district and amplifying its impact by providing financial support to local media houses. Despite facing challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, the team's persistence and dedication have ensured that communication with local entities has remained strong.

As a result, both the district and community media houses have benefited greatly, as the district's work is highlighted and media houses are given a voice to serve their communities.

Additionally, the sister district, Enhlanzeni District Municipality, was recognized as the most active municipality on social media.
