MPUMALANGA PREMIER VOWS TO BOOST MATRIC PASS RATE WITH STRATEGIC PLANS
Premier Ndlovu emphasized the province’s dedication to strengthening the education sector, a key driver of improved results and overall educational quality. He also highlighted that a thorough review of past advancements shows Mpumalanga is on track to reach a 100% pass rate in the near future.

Mpumalanga Premier, Mandla Ndlovu MP, reaffirmed the @MpumalangaGov’s commitment to improving the Matric pass rate. He made these remarks during a gathering attended by Minister of Basic Education, Ms. Siviwe Gwarube, Deputy Minister Dr. Reginah Mhaule, MEC Cathy Dlamini of Education, and senior officials from the Department of Education in City of Mbombela earlier today.
Gwarube and Mhaule are currently in the province to evaluate school readiness for the 2025 academic year. Mpumalanga proudly achieved a stellar 84.99% Matric pass rate in 2024, positioning it as the 6th best-performing province in the nation.
